4th Quarter Grades and Semester totals are posted.  Today in class we discussed the Final Exam and what you need to do to be successful on it.  You were also given a Document Packet that needs to read and completed and brought to the exam...it will be worth 30 Points and must be done before you walk into the room on E-Day.

2nd Semester Final Exam = 20%=200 Points

On E-Day you will do the following:

5 minutes - Chronological Order - 10 events from WWI to The 60's - 2 pts each = 20 points

ID - You will write on one...we will pick a number in class...the number we pick...that is the one (1) ID you will write on ...one full page...2 paragraphs...FACTS...The Significance...  and will have about 10 minutes to do this one.  This is worth 100 Points.

ESSAY - Topic is FDR's NEW DEAL - study our notes from the unit and have you document packet ready to go...you will be able to use it...and turn it in for your essay...this should give you about 50 minutes to answer/write your essay.The Document packet is worth 30 Points...the essay is worth 50!!!

2ND SEMESTER ASSIGNMENT PORTFOLIOS ARE DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD...SORT AND ORGANIZE WHILE YOU WATCH THE MOVIE...THE 10 ITEMS ARE TAPED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN FOR YOU TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT THING.THIS WILL BE THE LAST GRADE FOR 4TH QUARTER...IT MUST BE TURNED IN TOMORROW.

FINAL EXAM MATERIALS WERE HANDED TO EVERY STUDENT TODAY...YOU MUST DO THE FOLLOWING TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

FOR EACH ID ITEM...GET OUT A SEPARATE SHEET OF PAPER AND GO TO YOUR NOTES AND TEXTBOOK AND START COPYING ALL THE NOTES WE DID FOR EACH UNIT.  THIS WILL BE THE COWBELL...YOU SHOULD THEN HAVE AT LEAST 16 PAGES OF NOTES TO STUDY FROM...

COWBELL- FACTS...DATES, PLACES, PEOPLE, EVENTS, CAUSES, OBJECTIVES, RESULTS...ETC...

ALSO...TAKE A SHEET OUT FOR FDR'S NEW DEAL...AND TAKE ALL THE NOTES YOU CAN FOR THE ESSAY!

60's Collage is due Friday...pay close attention to instructions given several posts back.  We will finish the movie on Friday.  Tomorrow I will give you the Exam materials that you must start preparing for as soon as you can.  Assignment Portfolio sheets will be handed out tomorrow...and will be collected on Friday. Better be organized.  Exam covers Second Semester from WWI to The 60's.

We are watching "THE 60's" in class this week.  You are to use your textbook, and the internet to assist you with the last assignment of the quarter. This is your homework while we watch the movie in class.

         DUE:  Friday, June 6...start of your class period.  

DIRECTIONS:

A. You will be given an 11"x17" sheet of paper tomorrow in class. Create a poster with images and quotes that depict all of the following topics listed below.

Vietnam War
The Great Society
Music
Television
Movies
Counter-Culture

Create your own title to your poster:  You must have all topics visible on your poster...creativity and attention to detail as well as "full utilization of space."  The only way you will receive an A is if  you EXCEED EXPECTATIONS.  NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED.
