HERE IS THE "EXCERPT" FROM THE PRINCIPAL TO PARENTS:

"Background

We are working with a new attendance policy that has an Academic Catch Up day built into each quarter.  Our highly successful quarter 1 Academic Catch Up day was Oct. 10.  The objective of the Academic Catch Up day is to give students the opportunity to improve their grades by getting caught up on their academic work.  This work includes, but is not limited to, completing missing assignments, retaking quizzes, finishing essays, reading course material, completing enrichment activities, working on deficient skills, extending science lab time, receiving tutoring etc."

TODAY: YOU WILL WORK FOR THE ENTIRE PERIOD ON CH. 13 INTERACTIVE NB STUFF. INDEPENDENTLY AND SILENTLY!

IF YOU DO SO...AND ARE PRODUCTIVE ...YOU WILL EARN A 3% BONUS ON YOUR QUARTER GRADE!

CH. 13 "ROAD TO PEARL HARBOR" STUFF WILL BE DUE THURSDAY.

YOU ALSO HAVE FIRST SEMESTER ASSESSMENTS TO WORK ON AS WELL...YOU ARE "GETTING AHEAD AND CATCHING UP!"
